How to get your Camera to work in CW2

Make sure your Camera is plugged in before starting the browser.
or
if you are running a Camera sharing program like ManyCam make sure it is running and you have the camera selected.
When you start your browser and you do not see the image below then Flash does not recognize your camera.

Try installing a free program like ManyCam to see if it can recognize your Camera. If this does not work then there are issues beyond the scope of what we can do here.

How to get your Camera to work in Linux

My Linux distribution is MINT 14.

This Information should be the same for any other Linux system.
From a Terminal Session issue the following command.

ls -al /dev | grep "video"

No results indicates the system does not see any cameras.

All that is needed now is to make your account a member of the same group as the video group displayed from the above command.

If you want to use the Microphone you will also need to be a member of the audio group.

After you have assigned your account to the groups
The same instructions for Windows will work in Linux
